The Doobie Brothers Listen to the Music ~With Lyrics~

Hi, people.

The reason why I ‘Uploaded’ this video, is because I heard this song on ‘Arrow Classic Rock’. ( Radio Station ) I really liked this song so when I came home I tried to search for this song at YouTube. Too bad, only Live versions… :-( . So I thought: “Let’s upload this song for people with the same problem as me.”

This song includes not a Video-Clip because I’m new to the ‘Song-posting,’ but I have posted a nice picture of ‘The Doobie Brothers.’

Hope you like it.

Because this Video does not includes a Video-Clip, you can use this Video for ‘Background-Music.’

ENJOY!!!!!

~ LYRICS ~

Listen To The Music

Tom Johnston

Don’t you feel it growin’,
Day by day
People
Gettin’ ready for the news
Some are happy,
Some are sad
Wo, we got to let the music play
Wo, oh yeah
What the people need
Is a way to make ‘em smile
It ain’t so hard to do if you know how
Gotta get a message
Get it on through
Oh now mama’s goin’ to after awhile
Wo, oh, oh, listen to the music
Wo, oh, oh, listen to the music
Wo, oh, oh, listen to the music
All the time

Well I know,
You know better
Everything I say
Meet me in the country for a day
We’ll be happy
And we’ll dance
Wo, we’re gonna dance the blues away
Wo, oh yeah
And if I’m feelin’ good to you
And you’re feelin’ good to me
There ain’t nothin’ we can’t do or say
Feelin’ good,
Feeling fine
Wo, baby, let the music play

Wo, oh, oh, listen to the music
Wo, oh, oh, listen to the music
Wo, oh, oh, listen to the music
All the time

Like a lazy flowing river
Surrounding castles in the sky
And the crowd is growing bigger
List’nin’ for the happy sounds
And I got to let em fly

Wo, oh, oh, listen to the music
Wo, oh, oh, listen to the music
Wo, oh, oh, listen to the music
All the time
Wo, oh, oh, listen to the music
Wo, oh, oh, listen to the music
Wo, oh, oh, listen to the music
Wo, oh, oh, listen to the music
All the time
God, we gotta let the music play!

Don’t let em bother you. I’m just grateful you uploaded this. thanks so much!

  3. I’m perfectly aware …
I’m perfectly aware that Michael Jackson has nothing to do with The Doobie Brothers. My comment wasn’t meant to compare the music style of the two artists, both of who I listened to growing up; rather it was directed towards the subject matter brought up by another youtube subscriber concerning the mistaken usage of lyrics – without regard as to what the song is.

I don’t mean to sound rude here, but your implication that my posting wasn’t warranted on this page is totally off base.

  6. True incident – …
True incident – Michael Jackson screwed up one of the lyrics in “I’ll be There” by saying “just look over your shoulders, honey” instead of “just look over your shoulder, honey”.

Berry Gordy, in the recording studio that day, actually thought the line sounded better with “shoulders” being mistakenly pluralized by Michael, instead of the originally grammatically correct way of just using “shoulder”, so “shoulders” was permanently kept in the song.
