If you have a chinchilla then you know that chinchillas really love to chew. It’s almost like a national past time for chinchillas. And that is one thing you have to be very careful of. For one, you have to watch the fact that chinchillas can and will chew these. That’s why you can’t have any cage that is covered in plastic. They need to be metal.
Next when you let you chinchilla out of their chinchilla cage then you need to know that they can and will chew on wires. This for some very obvious reasons is dangerous. Make sure that the play area you make for your chinchilla is free of all chewing dangers. Finally it’s beyond smart t have lots of chewing toys for them to have. That will really help them be safe and happy.
